LOGO-L> Summer Logo Workshops

The Logo Foundation is sponsoring several Summer Institutes during June and
July. "Summer at Spence" is in its third year.  The "Colorado Logo
Institute" premiered last summer.  We're doing again with an additional
week devoted to Robotics.

Brief descritpions of these workshops are below.  More details and

The 1998 Logo Summer Institutes
Take some time this summer to focus on your own learning.

Summer at Spence
New York City, June 29 - July 2
The Spence School, an independent school for girls located in the heart of
New York City just steps from Manhattan's Museum Mile, is a leader in
educational technology. Join the Spence staff for four days of Logo
exploration and creation.

During this Logo Immersion you may choose from among several strands
including multimedia, turtle geometry, simulations, and game design.  This
year's theme is Logo on the Internet.

Colorado Logo Institutes
Grand Junction, Colorado
Spend a relaxing week or two exploring and learning Logo in scenic western
Colorado. The individualized approach of the Logo Summer Institute
accommodates experienced Logo users as well as novices.

Logo Immersion	July 20 - 24
Choose from among several strands including multimedia, turtle geometry,
simulations, and game design.  This year's theme is Logo on the Internet.

Logo Robotics	July 27 - 31
Design and build cybernetic devices of all kinds and control them using
Logo programs.  Use the popular Control Lab from LEGO Dacta, the
Programmable Brick, and PC Logo Robotics.
