Among other software they had LCSI Logo (on an Apple machine). One of our staff, Prof. Shafi Give'on, wrote a single-key mini-Logo program, which the kids used with a great pleasure (this experience produced later several articles in education magazines). What was special with it is that every command the kid gave - was automatically recorded to a file on the disk. Later, our education experts would collect the disk and analyze those files, trying to understand/reconstruct the logic and way of thinking of the kid (Why did he erase that line? Why he added that shape AFTER the other shape etc.). I liked to sit for hours and watch the kids playing (=learning). One of the most amazing events I witnessed: The kids were taken one day for a ride in a train. The next day they were asked to draw the train with their instant-Logo. As it happened, the kindergarten teacher forgot to tell the kids what key draws a circle. So the kids drew, I didn't believe my eyes, square wheels! They simply made the best of their knowledge. Unnecessary to say that I myself could never come to such a brilliant solution. Regards...
